To start, Xenorio started off as a joke. Redbanana81 (Emily) mentioned it in a joke to Shawn. They kept talking and about a week later the server was a reality. Shawn had a private server before through a server provider called BeastNode. They are very reliable and that is what Xenorio is run off of today. The name was an issue because Emily and Shawn had to make a name that was creative and original, that was easy to remember. They used to play on a server called Denovo, which was Latin for "a new beginning." Then Emily had the idea to make a name that meant something in a different language, in memory of the server that we once loved and enjoyed. Xenorio means "happiness" in Latin (according the an online source). Shawn coded the server and all its commands in a span of about 8 hours. Emily and Shawn have always wanted to build a nature themed build, and it seemed perfect for spawn. It took the two friends about 1 week to build spawn and then the server was up and running for the public to use and enjoy!
Xenorio Staff Team is composed of 5 active players, Shawn_Turtle, the developer, Redbanana81, the owner, fighter3502 and LieutenantChip, the mods, and 88DeathTheKid88, the helper. Each one of them are extremely friendly and nice, and are dedicated to keep the server working smoothly and friendly for new and veteran players.
You can become a member of the Xenorio Staff Team too! You must follow all rules, and not break any of them. You must be extremely nice and likable by most players. You must be active on the server, and must have been active for at least 2 weeks before you are even considered to be added to the staff team. You DO NOT need to donate in order to be a staff member. Please, do not ask other Xenorio Staff Members to promote you or request to promote you. We will come to you when we believe you are ready. There is no application to fill out as of now.
Xenorio also has a trusted rank! If you see some one with a trusted rank, this means that they are a former member of the Xenorio Staff Team. We would like to reward them for their help on the server, so we give them a rank that is equal to MVP! People that are no longer apart of the Staff Team (people with trusted rank), are in no control over you, but they are trusted by staff, which means that they can tell us that someone has broken a rule, and nine times out of ten, we will take their word for it. If we see you harassing any trusted rank about them being depromoted, you will be punished with a mute.
